Degreening and colour development for citrus. Designed, supplied and installed by Centair to suit your capacity, space and budget.

Our ripening chambers precisely control temperature, humidity, ethylene and CO₂ so fruit ripens evenly, on schedule and with a longer shelf life. Forced-air pressurised designs push conditioned air through every pallet for batch-to-batch consistency.

Every installation includes site survey, load calculation, supply, erection, commissioning and handover — with AMC options to keep your system performing year after year.

FAQ

Common questions

What is a modular cold room?
A modular cold room is a walk-in insulated enclosure built from prefabricated PUF panels that lock together on site, combined with a refrigeration unit. Because it is modular, it can be installed quickly, expanded later or even relocated.
What temperature ranges can you provide?
We cover the full cold chain — from ripening chambers at +13°C to +20°C, chiller rooms at 0°C to +8°C and freezer rooms at −18°C to −30°C, to blast freezers down to −40°C and medical freezers down to −86°C.
How do I choose the right size of cold room?
Share the product you want to store, daily incoming quantity, total storage volume and the required temperature. Our team performs a heat-load calculation and site survey to recommend the right room size, panel thickness and refrigeration capacity.
How long does installation take?
Smaller modular cold rooms are usually installed and commissioned within a few days of material reaching site. Larger cold stores and ripening facilities are planned with a project schedule shared at the time of order.
Do you offer AMC and repair services?
Yes. We offer annual maintenance contracts with scheduled preventive maintenance, and breakdown repair support for cold rooms and refrigeration units — including systems installed by others.
